RF (Radio Frequency) is one of the fascinating areas in electronics. On the RF page, I will share articles about RF technology, software, tools, RF testing methods, RF components, LTE evolution stages, 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), other wireless technologies, and RF instruments.

FeedSpot has selected the RF Page as one of the top wireless technology blogs in April 2025.
About me
Hi, I’m Rajiv Baby, Head of RF Engineering at Cavli Wireless and the creator of this website. I’ve spent 18 years working hands-on in RF and wireless engineering, and this site is where I share what I learn along the way.

Before joining Cavli, I spent most of my career at Qualcomm, working on RF front-end design, high-frequency simulation, and test and measurement across LTE, 5G, and IoT.
What defines my work is the space between hardware and software. I don’t just engineer RF systems — I build the tools to test and understand them. Using Python, LabVIEW, and Visual Studio, I develop automation that speeds up lab testing, processes measurement data, and takes the manual grind out of validation.
My Credentials
My work in RF engineering and wireless communication technologies is built upon a strong academic foundation from the University of Newcastle, Australia, where I graduated in 2012. I hold a:
- Bachelor of Information Technology
- Engineering Diploma in Telecommunication Technology from Model Polytechnic College, Mattakkara, Kottayam
This unique background in both telecommunications and information technology laid the groundwork for my career in wireless innovation, giving me the distinct advantage of bridging complex RF engineering with advanced software automation.

Beginning of RF Page
What started as a hobby project in 2016 has grown into something I never quite expected. I registered a domain, published a few articles, and slowly watched readers find their way here through search engines. Today, this blog is referenced by websites around the world as a trusted source on RF and wireless engineering — something I’m genuinely honored by.
I created this website to share what 18 years in the field actually looks like — making RF and wireless engineering practical and accessible for everyone.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
