S-Analyzer is a Windows-based S-parameter visualization tool built using C#. It allows users to load S-parameter files and instantly plot the data in multiple formats.
Whether you are analyzing return loss, insertion loss, or impedance behavior, S-Analyzer can help to analyze S-parameter files.
Supported Data Formats
S-Analyzer supports commonly used S-parameter data formats:
- Real – Imaginary (RI)
- Magnitude – Angle (MA)
This flexibility ensures compatibility with standard Touchstone measurement files and simulation outputs.
Cartesian Diagram

1. Magnitude Plot in dB
S-Analyzer can display S-parameter magnitude in decibels (dB), which is the most common representation for:
- Return Loss (S11)
- Insertion Loss (S21)
- Isolation
- Gain
The logarithmic dB display makes it easy to evaluate signal attenuation and amplification over frequency.
Smith Chart

2. Smith Chart Visualization
Impedance matching is critical in RF systems. S-Analyzer includes a built-in Smith Chart view that allows you to:
- Visualize complex impedance
- Observe matching performance
- Analyze reflection behavior
- Track impedance movement across frequency
This makes it a practical tool for analyzing antennas, amplifiers, and matching networks.
3. Interactive Markers
Precise measurement is important during analysis. S-Analyzer allows you to:
- Place markers on the plot
- Read exact frequency and amplitude values
- Compare multiple points easily
Markers help engineers quickly extract meaningful data from the graph.
4. Zoom Functionality
For detailed inspection, S-Analyzer supports zooming:
- Zoom into specific frequency ranges
- Examine narrowband behavior
- Analyze resonance points closely
This feature makes troubleshooting and fine-tuning much easier.
5. Save Plot as Image
In addition to S-parameter graphs, S-Analyzer can also plot images.
